Police at a house on Whalley Drive, Aughton, this evening were staying tightlipped about an arrest of a suspect in the shocking murder of Lydiate teen Matthew Dalby in summer.
Police from Lancashire and Merseyside are pictured at around 10pm with locals describing how officers arrived at around 7pm with the police helicopter seen overhead soon afterwards.
During the evening, a lady held in the back of a Merseyside matrix SUV was clearly very agitated and could be heard shouting and banging on its rear windows.
Lancashire Constabulary's PR office is expected to issue a press statement tomorrow morning: late last year Crimestoppers offered a reward of up to £10,000 for information given exclusively to the charity leading to the arrest of Thomas Dures following the murder of 19-year-old Matthew Daulby in Ormskirk town centre on 29 July.
Matthew was killed after being stabbed to death in Ormskirk town centre - his parents described their son as 'a vibrant, loving and funny teenager' who had 'a huge zest for life' and was about to start a management apprenticeship.
Thomas Dures (pictured) was wanted in connection with Matthew’s murder as part of the investigation - members of the public were advised not to approach him, but to contact Crimestoppers anonymously if they know where he is hiding.
